For Parents & Teachers
About this program
Officer Quackers teaches first- and sixth-grade students to recognize warning signs in online messages, friend requests, emails, and links. It is a free educational program of the Polson Police Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Privacy and Your Child
Officer Quackers is a free online safety education program of the Polson Police Foundation.
Children do not need to create accounts or provide their names, email addresses, passwords, photographs, or personal messages.
The guided activities use simple buttons. Their answers are processed in the browser and are not saved in an application database.
We do not use advertising or sell children’s personal information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This may include IP addresses and security-related request information.
For privacy questions or concerns, contact info@polsonpolicefoundation.com.
What this tool can and cannot do
This is a teaching activity, not a scanner that can verify someone's identity or guarantee that a link or message is safe. Students should ask a trusted adult whenever they feel uncomfortable or unsure.
Getting help
For immediate danger in the United States, call 911. For suspected online child sexual exploitation, an adult can report to the NCMEC CyberTipline. For other concerns, contact a trusted adult or local law enforcement. Do not use this website to report an emergency.
Classroom pilot
Teachers should try the website on a school-managed Chromebook and a phone before using it with students. Check that the read-aloud button works and that every activity can be completed without typing. Do not submit student names or individual answers as pilot feedback.
